"Advertising, whether it be in a newspaper, on a brochure, or even a business card, is a place to display some art. Your message shouldn’t be just glanced at without really being seen. If it’s truly exceptional, it will forge an imprint in your mind long after you look away. It should be understood and remembered."

"Accordingly, a web page should not only give you information about a company, but should evoke a pleasing, even entertaining experience."

About the Company

Off The Page Creations was founded by Stephanie and Michael Raccine of Westford, VT. Steph has had 20 years of experience in the printing industry, and her passion is design. Mike’s passion is the script writing for dynamic web pages. Steph’s and Mike’s talents blend well together.

About the Designer

Stephanie Raccine worked at the Burlington Free Press for 6 years. Her job entailed putting ads together, a job that she found increasingly frustrating because of limitations in resources and supplied materials. Steph always found herself thinking, “I can do better.”

After her Free Press career, Steph took a job with Capital City Press in Barre. There, she started as a typesetter, worked with sgml (standard generalized markup language, used in web design), and became a technical expert in dealing primarily with advertising. She worked tirelessly to make certain that the ads supplied by customers had adequate specifications to make them suitable for print. These ads were produced in a variety of different computer applications and were produced by professional designers. Steph looked at a majority of them and thought to herself, “I can do better.”

Fueled by these experiences and raw determination, Steph decided to start her own Graphic Design Studio. As part of the process, she thoroughly researched the Internet. To her amazement, what she discovered was that most web sites are graphically unimaginative. Again, she thought, “I can do better.”

Now, with 20 years experience in the printing business, Steph knows what great advertising should look like. The result of her experience and recent research? Off the Page Creations, a company created by Steph and her husband Mike, improving on what’s out there. Providing Graphic and Web Site services, Steph is now proving she can do better. Let her show you.
